Well, it’s my pleasure to welcome to my blog. You will know some important but common travel tips about air, sea and road travel of domestic and international both. Later stage we will discuss about the popular and potential sites of diff. countries especially Bangladesh travel tips.
Ø
You should have some basic information e.g. weather, culture and
costume etc. about the destination from related site like tourism authority of
concern country, your friend and travel agent etc.
Ø
Contact with embassy or consulate general office or any other visa
issuing authority of that concern country as they are the right authority and
having all latest update. Never call the airlines of that concern country or
your travel agency or any other 3rd party as they always depend on other
party for information.
Ø
Now you may go for reservation of your travel means like air, sea
or road. If you are a member of frequent flyer program (FFP) e.g. Al Fursan of
Saudi Arabian airlines then tell the reservation staff that you are a FFP
member at the beginning. You should provide your family name first then your
first name and other named as per passport, your cell phone of city from where
you will board. If you are a holiday maker then you should provide your every
hotel or other residential no. Never forget to get your PNR (Passenger Name
Record) or booking reference or computer number. If you make booking from your
travel agent then there will be two (02) PNR. One (01) from travel agency and
other one (01) from air lines. If you follow up about your reservation with
travel agency then tell them travel agency PNR and if you follow up with air
lines directly then tell them air lines PNR.
Ø
Always cross check directly with concern airlines about your
reservation before and after purchase the ticket, date change, ticket refund,
no show, re-routing, baggage allowance and airport reporting policy. Sometime
travel agencies are not reliable. Always purchase your ticket before the time
limit to purchase. Now a day, time limit is not extendable but if seat (might
be on same class or not) are available then cancel and re-book to get new time
limit as you have create new PNR. If you book and purchase thru. Internet then
read the rules very carefully. Specially refund, date change and no show
policies etc.
Ø
Remember at present every air lines maintain lots of class and
fare for every single route. So, it is not wrathful to ask how much is the
fare? Or to get the idea about fare. Fare is subject to change any time unless
you purchase ticket (despite you book a seat).
Ø
Keep a side your ticket, passport, hotel voucher and visa (if it
is not stamped in your passport) in your hand carry. Don’t forget to weight
your baggage at your home to avoid last minute hassle. Report at airport or seaport or bus or railway station within prescribed time. If you have any journey (air, sea or road) sicknesses
then take some preliminary medicine with you and other precaution.
Ø
Your boarding gate no. will be printed at your boarding card. If
you are a connecting (if there is an airport involve between the departure and
arrival airport) passenger then kindly be alert about the local time, keep your
eyes on flight information display board sometimes flight schedule and boarding
gate might get change. Try to reach to the boarding gate as soon as possible to
avoid flight missing.
Ø
Don’t be panic at all in case of any unexpected incident happened
on board. Remember you the part of all other passenger so, kindly always follow
all on board instructions.
Ø
Upon arrival never stand up or try to collect your hand carry from
overhead banker until the aircraft stand still as it is quite risky for you and
others.
